Terms and Conditions (“Terms”)

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using the https://nanmmaonline.org website and related services (the “Services”) operated by North American Network of Malayalee Muslim Associations , also known as NANMMA (“us,” “we,” or “our”).

Access

  1. Your access to and use of the Services is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
  2. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. You may not access the Services if you disagree with any part of the terms.
  3. Use of NANMMA Social Network website – nanmmaonline.com is restricted to users from US and Canada.

Acceptable Use

  1. A debate should be lively but also constructive and respectful.
  2. Don’t incite hatred by race, religion, gender, nationality or sexuality or other personal characteristics.
  3. Don’t swear, use hate-speech or make obscene or vulgar comments.
  4. Don’t break the law. This includes libel, condoning illegal activity and contempt of court (comments which might affect the outcome of an impending court case).
  5. Don’t engage in ‘spamming.’
  6. Don’t advertise products or services.
  7. If you are under 16, please get permission from a parent or guardian before commenting on this blog.
  8. Don’t impersonate or falsely claim to represent a person or organization.
  9. Don’t post in a language other than English, Malayalam or Arabic.
  10. Protect your privacy and that of others.
  11. During discussions, stay on-topic. Please don’t post messages that are unrelated to the topic.

Use of Social Network Website

  1. NANMMA Social Network website – nanmmaonline.com – collects Name, Email Address, Cell Phone, City, State or Province, Country, ZIP or Postal Code, Town in Kerala, District in Kerala, Industry, and Profession.
  2. NANMMA uses the collected information to know its users.
  3. Users will be audited periodically and may be removed if the administrators are unable to validate user’s information.
  4. NANMMA will protect the collected information as best as it can.

NANMMA Facebook Group Etiquette

  1. Any debate should be lively but also constructive and respectful.
  2. Don’t incite hatred by race, religion, gender, nationality or sexuality or other personal characteristics.
  3. Don’t swear, use hate-speech or make obscene or vulgar comments.
  4. Don’t break the law. This includes libel, condoning illegal activity and contempt of court (comments which might affect the outcome of an approaching court case).
  5. Don’t engage in ‘spamming.’
  6. Don’t advertise products or services without permission from administrators (admins).
  7. Don’t impersonate or falsely claim to represent a person or organization.
  8. Don’t post in a language other than English or Malayalam
  9. Violation of the above will result in
    1. A warning will be issued, and the person will be noted in our records
    2. The person will be removed from the group after two consecutive warnings.
    3. Anyone who has been removed after two consecutive warning will have to go back in line to get entry to the group. In a full house group, re-entry is allowed only after a new person has been added to the group; your waiting list position has to be maintained.
    4. Since this is a volunteer-driven group, members can notify the administrators (admins) in person about violation for immediate action; no need to wait for administrators to read all messages. We would consult regional admins before making a decision.
    5. A decision could be appealed to the regional NANMMA admins to reverse it.
  10. The views and opinions expressed in the Facebook group are solely those of the original authors and those who contributed to or posted them. These views and opinions do not necessarily represent those of NANMMA, its Trustees Council (NTC), Board of Directors (NBD), Regional Delegates (NRD) or other Administrators.

NANMMA Whatsapp Group Etiquette

  1. Forwards are not encouraged so as to avoid unnecessary clutter in the group.
  2. Links to an online article followed by comments are permissible. This includes links to NANMMA website.

Accounts

  1. When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
  2. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Services and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.
  3. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Intellectual Property Rights

  1. Other than Your Content, which you may have opted to include on this Service, under these Terms, North American Malayalee Muslim Associations Network ( (NANMMA) and/or its licensors own all rights to the intellectual property and material in this Service, and all such rights are reserved.
  2. You are granted a limited license only, subject to the restrictions provided in these Terms, for purposes of viewing the material contained on this Service.

Your Content

  1. In this Terms, “Your Content” shall mean any audio, video, text, images or other material you choose to display on NANMMA Services. With respect to Your Content, by displaying it, you grant NANMMA a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and distribute it in any and all media.
  2. Your Content must be your own and must not infringe any third party’s rights. NANMMA reserves the right to remove any of Your Content from its Services at any time, and for any reason, without notice.

No Warranties

  1. The Services are provided “as is”, with all faults and NANMMA makes no express or implied representations or warranties, of any kind related to this Service or the materials contained in its Services. Additionally, nothing contained in this Service shall be construed as providing consult or advice to you.

In no event shall NANMMA, nor its officers, directors, volunteers, and employees, be liable to you for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of Services offered by NANMMA, whether such liability is under contract, tort, or otherwise. NANMMA, including its officers, directors, volunteers, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of this Service.
