What we did so far?

Why do we need this relief effort?

Kerala, the south-west state of India, is going through inexplicable misery due to heavy rainfall and flash floods.

News reports suggest that the continuous rains, floods, and mudslides devastated Kerala on an unprecedented scale caused over 400 deaths and displaced more than 300,000 people to temporary shelters.

Relentless rains and floods are continuing to pound the state and so far, resulted in an estimated $3 Billion in damages. Rescue operations have resulted in saving 82,000 lives while relief operations to help those affected by the tragedy are underway.

Season’s Greatings!

Remember when the angels said:

“O Mary! Verily, God gives you the glad tidings of a Word from Him, his name will be the Messiah Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to God.”

Season’s Greetings to you and yours!

Happy Thanksgiving!

History says that the first Thanksgiving happened when the Pilgrims organized a celebratory feast and invited a group of Native Americans, after their first corn harvest. The Pilgrims, seeking a new home where they could freely practice their faith, reached the American shore after a treacherous and uncomfortable crossing that lasted 66 days. Malnutrition and illness weakened them. It was the Native Americans who taught the Pilgrims how to cultivate corn, extract sap from maple trees, catch fish in the rivers and avoid poisonous plants.

On this Thanksgiving, let’s thank all those who helped us to settle down when we arrived with just two suitcases. It could be a friend, relative, or colleague.

Happy Thanksgiving!
